Did Anyone Notice?
Was there a posting in advance of tree removal at 837 Wellesley? There's not a twig left standing on that lot.

I haven't been up that way in a while. You can call the city arborist and see if a permit was issued. Most reputable tree companies won't take a tree down unless the owner gets a permit -- could have been a yahoo with a pickup and a chain saw, though. If no permit was issued the arborist can issue a citation. I had to get a permit to remove a hazardous DEAD tree!
